Ossie Joyce Stevenson

Ossie Joyce Stevenson, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. She was born on May 16, 1942 in Pruden, TN.

Ossie was a woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She love visiting the casino whenever she could find a ride, spending time camping and fishing, and starting each morning with a cup of coffee on her porch. Above all else, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Johnson Maiden; her father, Leland Maiden; her husband, Paul Stevenson; her beloved brother-in-law, Gene Barnard; nephew Brian Barnard; great niece Melissa Roberts.

Ossie is survived by her children, Ronnie Mitchell, Mikey Mitchell, Robin Mitchell Myers, and Jerry (Amanda) Mitchell. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Michael Mitchell, Crishen, Mitchell, Josh (Katie) Trevino, and Beau (Gabi) Mitchell; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson Myers, Cameron Williams, and Garrett Trevino. She is also survived by her brother, Bill (Jean) Johnson and family, and her sister, Sandra and Tonya Barnard along with many other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Ossie will be Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Ossie’s life. Ossie’s graveside service will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026, 2:00pm at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton, TN. Rev. Dustin Martin will be officiating.
