Kenneth Keith King, age 86 from Oneida, TN passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. Kenneth was born in Scott County, TN on December 18, 1933 to the late John Henry and Novella Burke King. Ken graduated high school in 1950 and joined the Army on August 21, 1953 where he received National Defense Metal, Korean Service Metal and United Actions Service Metal. He also went to school during the Army from December 1953 to December 1954 and graduated as a field lineman. He worked in the military on as a telecommunication specialist during the Korean War, he flew aircraft's and he was a missile launcher and attained the right to fly tail foremost with platonic detachment, focusing clean eyes on the enemy wherever he may be. He obtained his Antiaircraft Auxiliary and Missile Seal in Fort Bliss, Arkansas. He was honorably discharged on August 20, 1961. He took great pride in serving his country. Ken also worked for the government in several secret projects. He was a proud member of the Republican Party and he did not like Democrats. He always said Democrats are not for the working people, and they don’t have any morals. He enjoyed traveling the world, he owned and flew aircraft's even after the military. Ken was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club and Kwanas Club. He enjoyed Fishing and hunting and spending time with his family. He loved to sit at McDonald's and drink coffee with his friends. He had a love for Lincoln Mark V Cars, he always said he would not trade one Lincoln for three Cadillac’s. Ken owned and operated King’s Communications for many years serving counties all over. Ken was a funny man and always happy. In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by grandson, Christopher King; brother, Allen King, and many other relatives and friends. Kenneth is survived by grandson and caretaker, Chad King, and wife Heather; special daughter in law and caretaker, Eva Pennington; special great-grandson, Isaac (Ike) King and Luis King; brother, Bill King and wife Shorty; special grand-daughter Courtney (Little Red) King; Five children; many other relatives and friends. Due to the COVID-19 state regulations, services will be held at a later date with full Military Honors. Flowers may be sent to 425 Big Ridge Road, Oneida, TN 37841 or 375 N.
