James Robert Hogsed

James Robert Hogsed better known at “Bobby” age 68 of Clinton, TN passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Bobby was a man of wisdom, loved life and was a jokester. He enjoyed watching movies, traveling, and fishing. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Roy V. Hogsed Sr. and Edna. Bobby is survived by his wife, Mamie Hogsed, of Clinton, TN; son, Gerry Hogsed of Greer, SC; brothers, Roy Hogsed and Jan Wagley of Lawrence, GA, Kevin Hogsed and wife Sue of Douglasville, GA; sister, Judith Ann Gurka of Greer, SC. He also leaves behind 3 sisters in law, 1 brother in law, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Bobby’s family will receive his friends on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm with his celebration of life following at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Don Moore officiating. His family will receive his friends on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm with his celebration of life following at 3:00 pm at Grape Creek Baptist Church in Murphy, NC with Rev. Chip Hogsed officiating. Bobby’s interment will follow his service at the church cemetery in Murphy, NC. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
