Isaac "Ike" Dotson JR

Our hearts are filled with both love and sadness as we announce the passing of Isaac “Ike” Dotson. Ike proudly retired from the military and served in the Air Force and then National Guard Army where he experienced many adventures. He also worked as a security guard, a cook at Lakeshore and most recently Walmart. He will be remembered for his work ethic. Ike was a faithful member of Blowing Springs Baptist Church and loved his church family dearly. Ike enjoyed a good flea market and planting a garden. He loved watching Wrestling, racing and westerns. In his younger days he could tinker with and fix anything. 

Ike was welcomed into Heaven by his wife, Kay Dotson. He is also preceded in death by his parents. Isaac Dotson Sr. & Frances Dotson; his brother, Jim Dotson; his children, Bertha “Penny” Webber, Ollie Dotson and Randall Dotson and his grandchildren Miranda and Hailey.

He leaves behind a loving sister, Brenda Sue Dotson Edgemon & husband Clyde; sons, Jack Dotson and Isaac “Skeeter” Dotson III. He also leaves behind some of his greatest treasures, his grandchildren, Harriett Lough, Brandi Patterson, David Dotson, Lucy Brooks, Richard Davis, Larry Powers, Marisha Dotson, Jack Dotson Jr, Ashley Dotson, Matthew Dotson, Daniel McLaughlin, and Kyler McLaughlin.

Great- grandchildren: Katlyn, Joshua, and Madison Patterson; Elizabeth, Luke, and Maxley Lough; Noah Davis; London Powers; and Chloe Raines.

Great-Great-grandchildren: Kyleigh, Von, Amaya, Kashton, Dahliyah and Dariyah.

Ike loved being a Papaw more than anything, and he filled this role well. Ike also leaves behind a host of special friends and honorary family members. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 10:00am -11:00am with his funeral service to follow at 11:00am at Jones Mortuary in Clinton with Rev. David White officiating. Immediately following the service family and friends will go in procession to Dotson Cemetery for graveside service and interment.
