Helen June Moss

Helen June Moss, age 95 of Forsyth, GA, previously from Clinton, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the Wellstar Spalding Medical Center in Griffin, GA. She was born on April 4, 1931 in Lafollette, TN to the late William McKinley and Julia Byrd. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family and spending time with them. She had a lot of friends who loved her. Helen was always willing to give advice to her children when they would ask her.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, W.J. Moss; sons, Cecil Hembree and Alex Hembree; brothers, Arvil Byrd, Arnold Byrd and Eldon Byrd and sister Alma Jean Byrd; daughter-in-law, Tammy Hembree and grandchildren, Derrick Hembree, Travis Hembree, Summer Hembree, and William Hembree. 

Helen is survived by her son Marvin Hembree of Clinton, TN; daughter Jeanie Roach and husband Gene of Clinton, TN and Stephanie High and husband Lewis of Forsyth, GA. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service for Helen will be 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Vasper Cemetery in Caryville, TN with Rev. Gene Roach officiating. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is honored to serve the family of Helen Moss.
