With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of David Farmer. on July 8, 2026. 

David’s life was filled with meaningful relationships and memorable moments. His devotion to those around him never wavered. David worked and retired from Y-12 after nearly 30 years of service. He was a proud member of First Apostolic Church in Knoxville, TN., where fellow members and friends will miss him dearly. David is preceded in death by his parents, E.B. and Mary Farmer and daughter, Susan Dillard. 

Though he is no longer with us, the legacy that David leaves behind is carried on by his wife of 40 years, Amy Farmer; daughters, Kimberly Price, and stepdaughters, Terri Woods, and Stephanie Cooter; sisters, Maryann Triplett and Rebecca Pollard; brothers, Junior, Phillip, and Tim Farmer; grandchildren, Kara, Ashley, Emily, Kamryn, Adisson, Shayla, Tatiana, Brook, Brandy; and several great grandchildren. 

Family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with his funeral service immediatley following at First Apostolic Church, 5020 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Knoxville, TN 37912. Family and friends will gather for a graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery on July 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM, 2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918.
