Cynthia Jane Sammons

Cynthia Jane Sammons, age 74, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026, and went to be with Jesus. Cynthia was a dedicated and faithful member of the First Apostolic Church of Knoxville, where she was known for her warmth and kindness to everyone she met.

Cynthia had a deep love for people and was known for greeting everyone with a heartfelt hug, always followed by her signature phrase, “I love you.” Her compassion extended beyond people to her beloved dogs and chickens, whom she cared for dearly.

Cynthia is survived by her loving son, Charlie Sammons, and his wife Stacie; her devoted daughter, Janet Whitfield, and her husband Albert; four cherished grandchildren; and a host of friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
