Charlene Brooks Ratcliffe, born on December 24, 1953, in Clinton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
A longtime member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Charlene's deepest hope was for everyone to come to know Jesus and accept Him as their Savior. She loved attending church and being part of church activities. Charlene retired from Y-12 after 37 years of dedicated service. Beyond her professional contributions, she was a woman who treasured her family above all else. Her grandchildren were truly her whole world, inspiring her daily and bringing immense joy to her life. In her leisure moments, Charlene enjoyed scrapbooking, a hobby that allowed her to preserve precious memories with her loved ones.
Charlene is survived by her devoted daughters, Brandi Anderson and Kelli Lee and husband Brian; brother, Charles Edward “Eddy” Brooks Jr. and wife Cynthia; sister, Marion Lee Martin and husband Don; grandchildren, Skylar Boor and husband Zack, Nathan Lee, Garrett Lee, and Kane Taylor, who is cherished as a grandchild in love; closest and dearest friends, Kathy Cardwell and Cathy Nance, whose bonds brought warmth and companionship throughout her life.
Charlene was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles Edward Brooks Sr. and Betty Jean Brooks, and her beloved husband, Terry Ratcliffe, whose memory she honored with deep love and respect.
Visitation to honor Charlene’s life will be held at Jones Mortuary on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be Friday, May 8, 2026, at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, at 12:30 p.m.
Charlene Ratcliffe’s legacy is one of faith, family, and steadfast love. She touched the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit will forever remain a beacon of hope and kindness to her community and family. Jones Mortuary is honored to serve the family of Charlene Brooks Ratcliffe.
