Cathy Jean (Hansard) Plummer age 73 of Heiskell, TN, received her glorified kidney on June 13, 2026. She died peacefully at her home of 55 years with family by her side. She was a long-time member of Fairview Freewill Baptist Church of Heiskell, TN.

She fought a good fight since going on dialysis in 2013 and is now in Heaven with her late parents, Clyde and Trula White Hansard; and her siblings, Judy Hansard Kitts, Kyle Hansard, and Harold Hansard.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Plummer of 55 years; daughter, Kelley Plummer Rowland (Doug); sons, Troy Plummer (Mendy), Terry Plummer (Adri); and grandchildren, Rilee and Reid Rowland, Alyia and Matthew Plummer, and Kendall Plummer, as well as her sister, Margie Hansard Graham, and brother Doyle Hansard.

Her faith and relationship with the Lord was central to her life. She had a passion for cooking and was well known for her chicken and dumplings, and sour dough bread. She loved spending time with her family and being in her gardens. She was a cherished member of the community, always worried about helping neighbors, and acted as a second mother to many children in the community. She was a hard worker and faced difficulties in life with determination. She was a well-known prankster and loved a good laugh.

Special thank you to her dialysis nurses, Sam, Emma, Ashley, Tara, and Terena; and her nephrologist, Marcia Lyons for all the love and attention they have shown her over the part 13 years. 

A Celebration of Life for Cathy will be held on June 27, 2026, at Jones mortuary Chapel in Clinton, TN from 1:00 to 2:30pm, with Rev. Donnie Wood officiating.
