Bennie C. Tipton

Bennie C. Tipton, age 89, passed away on September 6, 2026.

Born on October 17, 1936, Bennie grew up in Rogersville and later moved to New Market, where she lived until 2019. At that time, she came to live with her daughter Betty in Clinton. She will be remembered as a loving mom, mamaw, and great-mamaw whose home and heart were centered on her family.

Bennie found joy in the simple things she loved. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and playing her piano. She also loved watching I Love Lucy and listening to Conway Twitty. These everyday pleasures helped shape the warm and caring life she shared with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Tipton, her parents, Al and Eliza Corbin, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Bennie leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory with love. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Kitts, and her son, Allen Lane. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Autumn Kitts, and fiancé, Robert, James Lane and wife Ambria and Zachary Lane; her great-grandchildren, Carson and Peyton Kitts.  Her love as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother will continue to be felt in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on September 11, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jones Mortuary, 375 N Main St, Clinton, TN 37716. A graveside service will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, Pleasant View Loop, Clinton, TN 37716.

Bennie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
