Ancil Hubert Sherwood

Ancil Hubert Sherwood, age 74, of Clinton, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. He loved his family, also his nieces and nephews. Ancil enjoyed gardening. He loved the outdoors and fishing. Ancil worked at Clinton Tire & Oil for 38 years. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. Ancil was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ethel Sherwood; brothers, Jack Sherwood, Billy Sherwood, Kenneth Sherwood; and sister, Judy Littleton. Ancil is survived by his brother, Donnie Sherwood (Edna) of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Gwen Littleton (Frank) of Clinton, TN and Sue Moore (Greg) of Heiskell, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Friends can call at their convenience on Monday, April 6, 2020 from 3:00pm – 8:00pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN. Ancil’s graveside service will be private on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Norris Memorial Gardens in Norris, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements
