Tommy Herring

Tommy Denton Herring age 81 of Kingston, TN passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Roane County Medical Center in Harriman, TN. Tommy was a long time member of Calvary Lighthouse in Oak Ridge, TN. He was an engineer for Metro Rail in Florida before moving to Tennessee. Tommy was very crafty and could do anything. He enjoyed singing and playing the piano and organ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Ella Herring; wife, Barbara Herring and son, David Herring. Tommy is survived by his daughter, Linda Thompson & husband Robert of Kingston, TN; brother, Howard Herring of Kingston, TN; sister, Helen Woodward of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Shawn Thompson & wife Andrea and Ashley Thompson all of Knoxville and great grandchildren Abby & Ethan. Tommy’s family will receive his friends on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10:00am – 11:00am at Calvary Lighthouse in Oak Ridge, TN with his funeral service immediately following at 11:00am with Rev. Randy McCausland officiating. His interment will follow the funeral service at Bethel Cemetery in Kingston, TN.
