Obituary for Hazel Boucher
Hazel Boucher, age 76, of Clinton, passed away Friday, June 14, at Tennova Hospice in Knoxville. Hazel grew up in Massachusetts and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts. Hazel enjoyed a full life as a daughter, wife, mother, and teacher. She retired from IBM after 25 years of employment as an Editor. She had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed traveling. Her favorite vacation was her walk across Europe with her husband. While living in North Carolina she created a beautiful garden of iris and columbine. She was talented at sewing, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery and passed these skills on to her children. She was an active member at Jellico Seventh Day Adventist church.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edith Howland.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Boucher; daughters, Hazel Berger of Marietta, Ga., and Rachel Bodner of Sharpsburg, Ga.; sister, Carolyn McEwen of Florida; Cole, Josh, Abby, Tyler, and Oliva (her grandchildren); step-children, Renee Helmer, David Boucher, Melody Ingebretsen, Merry Walker, and Sam Wehunt, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Hazel’s services in Clinton will be private. Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of local arrangements.
